Why are DEI cars 381hp while other GMMG’s are 380 hp?

Everyone thought Dale wanted 1 more hp but here is the real story

(makes sense to me)

Dale was # 3 – Dale Jr. was #8 & Steve Park (teammate) was #1 so ‘381’ is the hp

THIS WAS THE LAST PROJECT THAT THE LATE GREAT DALE EARNHARDT SR AND DALE JR WORKRD ON BEFOR DALE’S DEATH.

JIM SMITH IS THE SECOND OWNER.

THE ORIGNAL OWNER ORDERED THIS CAR IN JAN 2001 AND PICKED IT UP AT EARNHARDT CHEVY IN NEWTON NORTH CAROLINA IN JULY 2001.

THIS ONE OF THE LAST 2001 DEI CAMARO MUSCLE CARS THAT WILL OUT PERFORM JUST ABOUT ALL THE CARS FROM THE 60’s & 70’s.  THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN COMPAIRED TO THE 1969 YENKO CAMARO.

THIS CAR HAS THESE EXTRA’S……….  AIR COOLED ROTORS, CHAMBERED EXHAUST, WIDE MOUTH EXHAUSE TIPS, NASCAR ROTORS, BILLIT GRILL WITH THE “69 VERSION SS”  HAS SPECIAL BADGING, HURST CLOSE -RATIO SHIFTER WITH NASCAR SHIFTER KNOB, GREY STRIPE ACROSS HOOD AND DECK LID, WITH AMERICAN RACING MAG WHEELS THAT ARE COLOR MATCHED TO  THE STRIPING. , EMBRODERED SS INTIMIDATOR FLOOR MATS, AND COVER TOO MUCH TO LIST .

IF YOU KNOW THE HISTORY OF THIS CAR YOU ARE AWARE THIS IS THE ONLY CAR DALE NAMED THE ” INTIMIDATOR”  IT IS BLACK OF COURSE….. HAS T-TOPS , ANTI-SKID / SWAY OPTION ( ONLY 5 WERE MADE WITH THIS OPTION )

THIS CAR HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN TO LOCAL CAR SHOW’S NEVER BEEN RAINED ON OR DRIVEN IN THE RAIN, GARAGE KEPT AND NEVER SMOKED IN !

Only FIVE T-Tops has ASR & #54 is 1 of the 5

DEI #13 WAS NOT built?

There have been a rumors floating around that there was a DEI Convert but no one has come forward with the information.

     I have it straight from GMMG & you will need to discuss this direct with Matt Murphy. 

I am not at liberty to have any discussion about the possibility of a DEI Convert. 

     I spent 7 days @ GMMG  (March 2010) going through the archives & have the documentation BUT it is confidential.

David is no longer with us & this is a tribute to Dale & David.

I watched David Saad grow up & spent a lot of time with him. 

I taught him how to water-ski & barefoot ski & he was one of the best barefooter’s on the lake.
